- On Sunday the 2nd of September 2007 The Carver Wolverhampton Marathon was held at West Park. Dicky Dodd and Hugh Porter were there on hand with the commentary along with Mayor Trudy Bowen who opened the marathon and presented the awards to all the well deserved athletes on the day. Cool to School 16th July 2007 (1 Images)
- On Monday 16th July Alex Davies was the lucky winner of a cool ride to school, in the Sky Limousine. Sophie arrived at Alex's house, in Hill Avenue bright and early and was invited in for a chat and to meet the family. Inside the house she was introduced to Alex's older brother Tom, who Alex had decided to share his cool ride to school with. After munching on their BB's cookies and waiting for latecomers Sophie and Emily to turn up, the boys were finally off to Hill Avenue primary School, which...you've guessed it is in the same street as their house. So after a few spins around the block they eventually arrived at Hill Avenue School and headed in for their first day of their last week of term...wahoo!

Sunnyside Kennels South Staffordshire part of Birmingham Dogs Home held an open day & fun dog show on Saturday 14th July 2007 from 10am Sunnyside Dark Lane Cross Green Coven WV10 7PN Throughout the day there were many activities such as: Fun dog show, Dog agility, Stalls, Bouncy castle and a Dog show. The Dog show had classes such as: Best condition puppy The scuffiest mutt Dog and handler look a like the waggiest tail Best novelty trick Fancy dress Best rescue story ......... and many more Take a look at our photographs from the day
Tettenhall Fete 1st July 2007 (10 Images)
- Niel Jackson broadcasted live from this years fete. This year the Tettenhall Round Table organised attractions include bouncy castles, assault couses, Wolf Mountain climbing wall, beat the goalie, traditional fete stalls and refreshments. The West Midlands Brass band played throughout the afternoon. All proceeds raised from the day have benefited local charities and good causes. Have a peek at the photographs from the day:
Cool 2 School 9th July (4 Images)
- On Monday 9th July Alex Moore, of Beacon Lane was the lucky winner of a cool ride to school, with Sky limousines. Sophie arrived at Alex's house and was welcomed by Alex and all his mates. Inside the house Sophie was introduced to all the family including little sister Libby. After munching on their cookies from BB's Coffee and Muffins and having a chat with Dicky Dodd back in the studio, the lads were ready for the off. Alex had invited friends; Macca, Tom (aka Fletcher), Matt (aka Beefburger), Jack and Tommyzoom... Don't ask! On the way to Queen Victoria School the boys couldn't contain the excitement, shouting out of the limo window and dancing to the music on the radio (107.7 The Wolf of course!). When the boys arrived at Queen Victoria School it was time to head in straight away as they were a little late, but Sophie delivered them to class and explained that it was her fault!

- On Monday 2nd July it was Lydia Jones' turn for a cool ride to school in the Sky limousine. When Sophie arrived at Lydia's house in Pattingham, she was greeted by a group of very smiley girls and not forgetting Charlie, Lydia's younger brother. Sophie was asked inside where Lydia and her friends spoke to Dicky Dodd back in the studio, before tucking into their double chocolate cookies from BB's Coffee and Muffins. It was then time for Lydia, Becky, Kerys, Fearne, Hannah and Charlie to climb into the limousine and make their way to St Chads School. Lydia and her classmates were met at the school gates by their teacher Mrs Moore. It was a case of 'back to school' for Sophie as she was a pupil at St Chads when she was a little girl and was reunited with year 3 teacher Mrs Moore who allowed her to take the register. After the register had been taken Lydia gave a liitle talk to her classmates about her cool ride to school.

- On Monday 25th June, Kimberley PyattPayne was the lucky winner of a cool ride to school in the Sky limousine. Sophie arrived at Kim's house bright and early and was made to feel really welcome by Kim and all of her friends. Sophie was invited in for a chat and a cup of tea. Just before leaving for school Sophie shared out the BB's cookies, which seemed to go down very well with everyone! There was just enough time to pose for some photographs outside the house before jumping into the limousine and heading off to Queen Victoria School. When the gang arrived at the school they were greeted by teachers with their cameras at the ready! Unfortunatley on the day Sophie's camera was not working, so Thank you to Kimberley's mom who took these for us...

- 7th & 8th July 2007 Broadcasting live all weekend we had a fantastic time down at West Park with our sponsor 'Paycare'. Our competition 'Crack The Safe' giving everyone the chance to win 10,000 pounds went well with hundreds of people looking to win the cash. - On wednesday the 30th May Niel Jackson went down to BDF New Life on Hemlock Way in Cannock. BDF New Life were celebrating National Volunteers week. Sheila Brown, Chief Executive and cofounder of BDF Newlife says: We're always keen to hear from new volunteers and working with BDF Newlife is a great way to help others, learn new skills and gain valuable experience. Beatties's Word is OUT! (1 Images)
- Wolverhampton's 107.7 The Wolf and Beatties present 'The Word Is Out' Winner with 280 pounds worth of Beatties Vouchers Wolverhampton's 107.7 The Wolf and Beatties have been running a competition on The Breakfast Show called 'The Word Is Out'. Each weekday Dicky Dodd has been playing a clip of local singer 'Beverley Knight' talking with ONE word missed out. Over the campaign, calls have been jamming the switchboards at the radio station with hundreds of wrong guesses. Dicky Dodd was relieved on Monday when Francis Granger from Brewood won. Francis called in with the winning guess, 'Echo', winning herself the ultimate shopping spree with Two hundred and eight pounds worth of Beatties Vouchers to spend. Paul Sutton, Manager of Beatties said 'I have listened to 'Dicky Dodd in the morning' over the past weeks and it was great to meet with Francis and present the gift vouchers to her. The competition certainly captured the imagination of the people n Wolverhampton. I'm look forward to seeing Francis spending her vouchers throughout the store.' Dicky Dodd, Wolverhampton's 107.7 The Wolf's Breakfast Show Presenter said 'The response has been phenomenal to this competition and I must admit I am relieved that the prize has been won. Everywhere I went over the last couple of weeks. I am looking forward to the competition continuing over the coming weeks which I'm sure will get everyone talking again.'
Cool 2 School 4th June 2007 (3 Images)
- On Monday 4th June it was Sophie Evans' turn for a cool ride to school in the Sky Limousine. Sophie arrived at Sophie's house in Park lane, to be greeted by a group of screaming girls. Sophie was invited in for a chat, as you can imagine it all got very confusing with two Sophie's in the house so they decided to call themselves Big Sophie and Little Sophie. Big Sophie handed out the cookies from BB's Coffee and Muffins and the plan was for Little Sophie and friends to save their cookies for break time, however that didn't last long and they soon tucked in! After munching on their cookies and having a chat to Neil in the studio, it was time for Little Sophie and younger sister Lauren to head off to Our Lady and St Chad School. Lauren had chosen best friend Lauren Merridith to come with her in the limousine, and Little Sophie had chosen friends; Carla, Mikala and Macorley. When the gang arrived at School it was time to head in for registration and prepare themselves for their 3 day trip to Alton house, how exciting!

- On Monday 21st May, Charlie Gibbons from Pattingham was the lucky winner of a cool ride to school. Sophie arrived at Charlie's house bright and early and was greeted by a very excited group of girls. Sophie was invited in for a chat and to meet the family, she also had the very important job of handing out the BB's cookies to everyone. (They were soon eaten up!) Once she had been introduced to everyone Sophie had to get the children into the limousine and off to Sandown First School in Perton. When Charlie and her friends arrived at school she had an audience waiting for her, there was just enough time for her to meet her adoring fans and pose for photos before heading inside for registration.

- On Monday 14th May Francesca Davis was the lucky winner of a cool ride to school in the Expressions Limousine. When Sophie arrived at Francesca's house she was invited in for a chat and a cup of tea, she also handed out the cookies from BB's Coffee and Muffins, which went down very well with everyone! Francesca had offered to share her cool ride to school with younger brother, Dominic. They had both chosen two friends to take with them to Birchfield School. Francesca had chosen Henneh and Elenor, and Dominic had chosen Archie and Harry. It was very much a family affair as their younger brother Sebastian came along forr the ride aswell. When the children arrived at Birchfield school they were a little late, but teachers and pupils popped out of lessons to come and take photos of the Limousine and of the lucky winners Dominic and Francesca.
Cool 2 School 8th May (5 Images)
- On Tuesday 8th May it was Luke Bennett's turn for a cool ride to school. Sophie arrived at Luke's house in the Expressions Limousine and was greeted by a group of very excited children. Inside the house Luke filled Sophie in on all the great things he had been doing, such as having a part in Joseph at the Grand Theatre. It was then time for Luke and friends; Ross, Elle and Melissa (as well as little brothers; Greg and Scott) to head off to Uplands Junior School. Luke also invited Mom along for the ride as she had never been in a Limousine before either. When Luke and his friends arrived at school the bell had already rung so they had to head straight inside for registration, where Luke and the rest of Year 4 allowed Sophie take the register, much to her delight!

Michele called in with the winning guess, 'Mess', winning herself the ultimate shopping spree with seven hundred and sixty pounds worth of Beatties Vouchers to spend. Paul Sutton, Manager of Beatties said 'I have listened to 'Dicky Dodd in the morning' over the past 7 weeks and it was great to meet with Michele and present the gift vouchers to her. Operation Easter 2007 (18 Images)
- This year we have had a fantastic response to our Operation Easter Egg Appeal with The Mander Centre. Our listeners kindly put eggs into our drop off boxes which were located around The Mander Centre. We also had fantastic donations from companies. Donors: Lindt donated a staggering 1000 Easter bunnies, The Post Office sorting office donated a car load, Cadburys donated 100 Chocolate Easter chicks, Hooty's Superstore donated various sized eggs, Ikea donated 30 large Easter goodie packs, Waitrose donated 30 Easter goodie bags. Thanks to the overwhelming response we delivered hundreds of eggs to various charities in and around Wolverhampton. Charities: The Haven Wolverhampton, The children's ward at New Cross Hospital, Acorns, Jericho House, Wolverhampton Homeless Families, Sure Start. Please take a look at our Easter Gallery:
